More than just a performance, The Nutcracker has become a heartwarming part of our community’s holiday season, a celebration of artistry, tradition, and togetherness.

It’s a moment for dancers of all ages to shine on stage, for families to gather in the audience, and for generations of CCDC alumni to return and cheer on the next wave of performers.

❤️ Continuing a Legacy of Dance

This year’s Nutcracker holds special meaning as part of CCDC’s 35th Anniversary Season: “From First Steps to a Legacy of Dance.”

For more than two decades, The Nutcracker has been a cornerstone of that legacy; a tradition that unites dancers, families, and our community in the shared joy of performance.

Each rehearsal, costume fitting, and final bow represents not just the work of one season, but the collective dedication of generations of CCDC dancers and educators who have made this production what it is today.

As Director Megan Logee shares:

“The strength of CCDC’s success lies in the experience, dedication, and passion of its faculty throughout the years. This production is a beautiful example of that, a collaboration between students, teachers, and guest artists that reminds us what the magic of dance is truly about.”
