Kelly Dornan

Kelly Dornan grew up and received her early training at Carroll County Dance Center under the direction of Sandra Woods. In 2011, she attended The Washington School of Ballet on scholarship under Kee Juan Han, Kristina Windom, Vladimir Djouloukhaze and Monique Meunier. After graduating, Kelly trained on scholarship at Texas Ballet Theater School under Ben Stevenson, Charmaine Hunter, and Kathy Warakomsky, where she performed in Ben Stevenson’s Dracula and Harald Lander’s Etudes with the company. In 2014, she joined Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company for three seasons, where she had the opportunity to perform roles in Christopher Wheeldon’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Balanchine’s Serenade, Derek Deane’s Romeo and Juliet, and Swan Lake. In 2018, Kelly danced with Georgia Dance Theatre before joining Boulder Ballet. At Boulder Ballet, Kelly has performed Clara, Marzipan, and Coffee in The Nutcracker, the Fast/Slow Duet in Paul Taylor’s Airs, Amy Seiwert’s The Devil Ties My Tongue, Pas de Trois from Swan Lake, and Daphne in Ben Needham-Wood’s Apollo and Daphne. In addition, Kelly has danced original contemporary works by Lance Hardin, Amy Earnest, Gregory Dawson, and Sidra Bell. She also works as a teacher and marketing assistant for the company. Kelly is excited to return to CCDC for the 20th Anniversary Nutcracker.

Sunny Hsieh

Originally from Taiwan, Sunny Hsieh immigrated to Toronto, Canada at the age of five. He began his dance training at the age of twelve to improve his balance for martial arts and quickly became obsessed with dance. He began training seriously under Evelyn Hart and later joined Orlando Ballet School as a Trainee. Sunny has danced professionally for Ballet Palm Beach, Ballet Des Moines, Ballet Spartanburg, Colorado West Performing Arts Company, and Canyon Concert Ballet.
