Ballet Intensive

Guest Instructor Dmitri Malikov, a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (Russia), a soloist and principal dancer with the Donetsk Ballet Co., Lvov Ballet Theater and Moscow City Ballet, will join Bat Udval, trained at the Perm State Choreographic College and principal with the Russian Ballet Theatre in Moscow, and Evgenia Singur, former principal dancer for the Russian State Ballet in Moscow and winner of the 2004 International Dance Festival in Korea, as master teachers for the summer Ballet Intensive for intermediate and advanced students.  Students will receive ballet class daily, as well as pointe, variations, contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, pilates and more.  Students will learn classical and contemporary repertory, with a performance at the end of the two weeks.  Placement will be determined on the first day of class.  Students may sign up for private classes from the master teachers as well.  This Ballet Intensive is an excellent alternative to traveling to expensive out-of-state programs where classes typically have 30-60 students in them and teachers change so frequently it is difficult to establish training consistency.  Classes are limited in size, and enrollment is based on a first come, first served basis.
