Nutcracker Auditions: Auditions for our 2009 Nutcracker production will be held on Sunday, August 23 and Saturday, August 29, for dancers ages 6 and up.  You are not required to be a CCDC student to audition.  Audition times are as follows:

             1:00 - 2:00 pm     ages 6-7                            3:30 - 4:30 pm    ages 13-adult (dancing roles, bring pointe shoes)

             2:15 - 3:15 pm     ages 8-12                         4:45 - 5:15 pm     ages 17-adult (character roles, no experience required)

Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, and are mandatory.  Detailed information and a contract will be passed out at the audition.  Please call if you have further questions.  $10 audition fee.

Student Concerts are held alternate years and provide a higher level of challenge to the student who desires to rehearse and perform.  Student concerts are organized by age group, so that younger students may enjoy a shorter, simpler production while older students can be challenged in a fully professional environment.  There will also be performing opportunities throughout the year for the Jazz and Tap Ensembles and the Ballet Company.  We encourage all students over age 6 who enjoy performing to participate in the annual Nutcracker production.

Summer Workshop and Dance Camp Studio Performances are the culmination of a week or several weeks of daily classes, rehearsals, and special classes such as make-up, music, dance history, dance film, etc.  Students create their own costumes and sets, as well as learning, choreographing, and performing a dance or ballet.
