Sandra Woods received her early training at the Washington School of Ballet under the directorship of Mary Day. She studied in New York with Gilbert Reed of American Ballet Theatre, with Luis Fuentes of the Joffrey Ballet, and in Paris with Gilbert Mayer of the Paris Opera Ballet. She performed as a member of the Washington Ballet and as principal dancer with the National Ballet of Spain and Poughkeepsie Ballet Theatre.  Ms. Woods has taught ballet for the Municipal Ballet of Madrid as well as for Vassar College and has been guest instructor at several Maryland ballet schools.  She has performed as a freelance artist in both jazz and ballet in several European movies and television commercials.  Ms. Woods holds a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Vassar College.
