Contemporary/Jazz Workshop

This week long intensive workshop will break away from traditional techniques and push the boundaries of movement.  Students will increase their versatility through exposure to a wide range of techniques.  Classes will mix the new with the familiar, giving students a fresh perspective on moving.  Loosely based on jazz, modern, and ballet technique, students will learn choreography like that seen on the popular television show So You Think You Can Dance.  Families are invited to a performance at the end of the week.  A chaperoned excursion to New York City will encompass one day of the workshop, with each participant taking two to three dance classes at Broadway Dance Center.  Parents are welcome to accompany the New York trip, but not required to do so.
